Soft and Stable

For a while now, in the office, we have been talking about a newish product out of the States called:

SOFT & STABLE

To be honest I gave it very little thought until I heard the drums beating louder and louder and could not ignore requests from New Zealand retailers to import soft and stable on their behalf. It is available in New Zealand already but not on a nation-wide scale. I know some of you use it already and rave about it. At the recent Minneapolis Quilt market we made ourselves known to Annie and her team and are now the official importer representing them in New Zealand.

So what is it exactly?

It is a firm yet resilient 100% polyester foam with a soft fabric lining on each side, Soft and Stable is lightweight and very easy to sew through but it gives great lasting body and stability to projects

It is often used to replace fusible batting, sticks temporally to fabric so it does not have to be pinned of fused to the project before sewing or quilting.

It is used in all sorts of craft projects: purses, bags, totes, home dec items, and more and is supported by a great website and YouTube videos. There are tons of ideas and patterns to follows.

I know a lot of you are using it and we are now able to hold stock of the 15yard rolls for distribution country wide. Available in two colours black and white.

I found several Retailers in New Zealand who stock the product: Sew Creative, Country Yard, Annies, Stitch bird, Kati Patch
